Interviews can be intimidating, especially when it comes to what you should wear. You want to show off who you are without compromising your potential future job. Here are four ways to express yourself from head to toe without sacrificing your professionalism.

  1. Socks
Socks can act as a perfect outlet for your personality. They will give you that pop you want without risking your professional status. Try socks with bold colours or a funny pattern. Check out companies like Hot Sox and Yo Sox or websites like Sock It to Me and Blue Q for everything from Einstein to taco socks!
  2. Hair
This might seem like a no-brainer, but it is something often forgotten when talking about how to express yourself. The haircut you have and the way you style it can be very expressive, and it is something that most employers don’t have many objections to. Depending on the culture of the company you are applying to, you might even be able to try out some of the latest colour trends, like peekaboo colouring. 3. Accessories
Accessories are your best friends when it comes to letting your personality shine through. You can make an outfit unique with a fun tie or a statement necklace. This can also be where you add some colour to an otherwise neutral interview ensemble.
  4. Patterns
Patterns can be a great way to show your future employer a bit of your personality. Be careful though, some patterns can be considered loud and do the opposite of what you are trying to accomplish. We suggest that you try a pattern in a darker or neutral colour under a blazer.
